David Fischer is part of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein ensemble since 2019 and made his debut as Lensky in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin in 2024. Further roles at his parent house are Tamino in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Alfred in J. Strauss's Die Fledermaus, Steuermann in Wagner's Der Fliegende Holländer, Peppe in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, Malcolm in Verdi's Macbeth, Tybalt in Gounod's Roméo et Juliette and Harlekin in Ullmann's Der Kaiser von Atlantis. The role of Tamino has already brought David Fischer to the Salzburg Festival, the Semperoper Dresden and the Leipzig Opera – furthermore, he sang Piquillo in Offenbach's Périchole at the Theater an der Wien.


In the concert scene, David Fischer will reappear at the Salzburg Festival in 2024 – this time in Bach's Matthäus-Passion with the Utopia Orchestra under Teodor Curretzis. Further concerts are Bach's Weihnachtsoratorium at the Kreuzkirche Dresden, Haydn's Nelson-Messe under Ádám Fischer at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Bach's Matthäus-Passion in Madrid and Barcelona under Christoph Prégardien, a Bach programme at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Mozart's c-Moll-Messe in and around Paris, amongst others at the Philharmonie and the Palace of Versailles.


In the past, David Fischer has worked with conductors such as René Jacobs, Philippe Herreweghe, Sylvain Cambreling, Howard Arman, Axel Kober, Joana Mallwitz, Will Humburg, Frieder Bernius, Jordan de Souza as well as Andreas Reize and went on Asian and Europe tours with orchestras such as the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Freiburger Barockorchester, the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest and the B'Rock Orchestra, he sang at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Palace of Arts in Budapest, St. Michael's Church in Hamburg (with the Hamburg Ballett), the NFM Breslau, at the NDR as well as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and perpetuated his works in recordings of Mendelssohn's Die erste Walpurgisnacht, published by Carus and Bach's Johannes-Passion, published by Rondeau.

David Fischer maintains a close liaison with his Finnish Lied partner Pauliina Tukiainen, with whom he gave Lied recitals at the Swiss Festival classique des Haudères, in Geneva and at the Schumannfest Bonn. In 2022, the Lied duo debued at the Schaffhauser Meisterkonzerte with Schubert's song cycle Die schöne Müllerin.
